Yes it is worth removing the pet filter in the kx10dp-we as this improves the accuracy of the sensor. To remove the pet filter you have to remove the lid. there is a screw in the lid remove this also then from the outside you need to push out the clear plastic line, this should then be removed from the inside and you will see a filter which can be taken out. Reassemble without the filter and you done.
