The Hikvision DS-2CD2383G0-IU is a ultra high definition 4K 8 Megapixel IP turret camera with a 2.8mm fixed lens and a built in microphone for real-time audio security. Its smart features include Line crossing detection, intrusion detection and face detection, and like all the new generation of Hikvision IP network cameras, the DS-2CD2383G0-IU features H.265+ compression technology which delivers high resolution recordings that use very little bandwidth and storage space.
The DS-2CD2383G0-IU has three stream capability that can send the same signal at three different qualities over three different devices. It can be powered either with PoE (Power over Ethernet) or with a 12VDC power supply and the camera can be accessed on a phone, tablet or browser using the Hik-Connect app.
Face Detection
Facial detection software will analyse images and determine the presence of a human face. When a face is detected, the system captures its position, size, and expression. The video stream will judge whether there is a human face, improving accuracy reducing false alarms.
Line Cross Detection
Line Cross Detection technology is a useful security feature to alert you in the event of a person or object crossing a pre-determined line. A line or box can be drawn straight onto the cameras view feed in any position which is then monitored by the system. If any person or object breaks the line you will be alerted immediately. This is useful for covering access points, driveways, paths & garden perimeters.
H.265+ Compression
Hikvision lifts video surveillance to an unprecedented level with
its H.265+ codec. In Full HD mode, H.265+ uses less than 20% of the
bandwidth of H.264, allowing for live streams of unrivalled
quality.
H.265+ also greatly outperforms all its predecessors in terms of
storage. Regardless of environment or application, H.265+ reduces
the required storage space by more than 80%. In short, H.265+
allows you to kill two birds with one stone: you can now record
images at amazingly high resolutions and minimise the required
storage capacity. This makes H.265+ the ideal solution for 24-hour
surveillance.
