HiTools Delivery from Hikvision - The SADP / Batch Config Replacement
The all-in-one software solution for configuring and maintaining HiLook and Hikvision hardware platforms.28/02/2024 Callum Bustacchini 2077
With the deprecation of Batch Configuration Tool and moving towards a more unified design language for upcoming and future software releases, Hikvision have introduced HiTools Delivery - an all-in-one solution encompassing the feature set of not only Batch Configuration Tool, but SADP functionality and more. Please note: At the time of writing, this is currently only available for the Microsoft Windows platform.
First Launch
The initial screen when starting for the first time will allow you to select a preferred starting method for all subsequent launches:
Device Discovery
"Device Discovery" will effectively tell the software to start in an SADP-like mode, where a list of networked devices will be shown. Password resets, device unbinding and network parameters can be adjusted from here.
Selecting "Add to Device List" from this screen will put the selected device into a Batch Configuration-like setting, where further actions can be performed such as remote configuration and management and firmware upgrades.
Pre-Configuration
The "Pre-Configuration" section comes as standard with two types of template - "Camera Template" and "Video intercom Template".
The "Camera Template" option allows two types of configuration method - "Online Configure" which allows the user to configure the system using the HiTools interface / menu system, or "Import Configuration File" to import a predefined Excel template of settings and set up accordingly.
The "Video Intercom Template" is slightly more involved, giving the user options to select parameters such as how many buildings are within the project, how many blocks are in each building (such as flats), floor quantity, rooms per floor, network parameters etc.
Projects
Projects are used to segregate different systems within a network for ease of management. For example, if a CCTV, alarm, access control and intercom system are installed on a site and each project needs to be managed independently, rather than having all devices lumped into one project with each device scattered in a single list, a separate project can be created for each category to ensure the user is working with the correct hardware at any given time.
Format Converter
The built-in format converter is primarily designed to be used for converting advertisement videos before importing them to devices using a Linux-based operating system, such as door stations and the MinMoe facial recognition terminal.
