About Gerber

Gerber were founded in America in 1939 and have since become synonymous with very high quality knives, multi-tool, torches and outdoor tools. By 1960 Gerber Tools had become collectors items and in 2003 the company had revenues of $100 million. Their most popular knife is the LMF II Infantry, which features a partial tang instead of a full one, ostensibly to avoid electric shocks because the knife was designed to free pilots from downed aircraft.
