Tenda O8 5GHz 11ac 23dBi Gigabit Outdoor CPE

The Tenda 08 5GHz is a Gigabit outdoor CPE designed to provide PP2 (Point to Point) and PtMP (Point to Multi-Point) solutions for private ISP wireless connectivity, CCTV surveillance and data transmission. It uses a 23dBi directional dual polarisation antenna to provide an efficient way to pick up and maintain a stable long-distance connection with a range of up to 20km. Two CPEs can also connect easily with one another automatically using auto-bridging technology which makes setup a breeze.

20km+ Transmission Range

The Tenda O8 features a 23dBi directional antenna to receive and maintain a stable signal for the wireless network. By using auto bridging technology, 2 CPE devices will connect to each other automatically to make set up quicker and easier.

6000V Surge Protection Design

Due to their very nature, CPE devices tend to be installed outside and in elevated positions, which increases the chance of lightning strikes that can cause irreparable surge damage to electronic equipment. The Tenda O8 features 6000V ethernet port Surge protection which protects the network against such strikes.

TD-MAX-Tenda TDMA proprietary protocol

TD-MAX is Tenda TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) proprietary protocol to improve performance and capacity for wireless WISP outdoor application scenarios. In the outdoor environment, the CPE uses highly directional antennas to connect to the Basestation from distances that can span several kilometers. the CPE can't sense each other, they become “hidden nodes” and cannot coordinate access to the wireless channel. Thus, the Basestation experiences frequent collisions from stations transmitting simultaneously. As the network scales, these collisions build up exponentially, increasing latency and lowering throughput. With TD-MAX, it coordinates all the data transmission and allocates time to active clients to provide greater noise immunity performance when compared to the conventional 802.11 CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access / Collision Avoidance) protocol.

Channel Shift to Avoid Interference

The O8 provides Channel Shift feature to offset the central frequency 5MHz upper. It can avoid interference from nearby AP and deliver higher throughput.

CPE Assistant-Centralised Management Platform

The O8 is equipped with centralized management software that helps users easily manage all the devices in their network from a single PC - CPE Assistant. Functions like device discovery, status monitoring, firmware upgrading, and network maintenance can be managed using CPE Assistant.

Multiple Application Scenarios

As well as a long-distance wireless connection device, the Tenda O8 can also be used in WISP mode to wirelessly connect to WISP hotspots to share internet to local wired & wireless networks.
