PRODUCT DETAILS
The Ubiquiti UBB is a kit comprising of 2 pre paired 1.7+ Gbps endpoint devices that can create a network bridge over 60GHz up to 500 metres using 802.11ad and can be powered over the Ethernet cable (PoE).
Each device features an omni-directional ball and socket mount that can be used to find the optimum position to create the strongest connection.
The UBB kit also feature handy LED's around the outer edge of the unit which indicates if the bridge device needs positioning left or right.

60GHz Operating Frequency
The UBB kit operates on the 60 GHz band which quickly reduces in strength due to atmospheric absorption. When 60 GHz is used with a highly directional antenna, interference from other sources is reduced as well, making it perfect for achieving extremely high transmission capacities.
Wireless Link Redundancy
Although the 60 GHz frequency offers fantastic transmission rates, it can also be sensitive to any obstacles in the line of sight, such as raindrops. To counter this, the UBB kit can automatically switch over to the 5 GHz frequency which is much more effective in these conditions, and switch back to the higher frequency once conditions improve.
