The Hikvision DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW is an 8-inch 8MP PTZ dome camera featuring 42x optical zoom, 16x digital zoom and DarkFighter technology for excellent low-light performance. The DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW can detect up to 30 faces at the same time and supports tracking, capturing, grading, selecting of face in motion, and output the best picture of the face. PoE (Power over Ethernet) eliminates the need for a separate power cable making installation quicker, easier and more cost effective.
DarkFighter Low Light Technology
The DS-2DF8C442IXS-AELW features Hikvision's DarkFighter technology. With up to 60 fps under the poorest lighting conditions, Hikvision’s DarkFighter Cameras see clearly in colour what others can only see in black and white. During the day, with a superior Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), they can see through overly dark or brightly-lit areas also.
In addition, DarkFighter PTZ cameras also feature smart technology including, Target Cropping, Object Removal and Region Entrance and Exit alarm.
Vehicle Detection
The DS-2DF8C442IXS-AELW's intelligent on-board ANPR analytics allow the ability to detect and recognize a vehicle’s license plate and send ANPR info to a Smart NVR or iVMS5200P for access management. Vehicle information is also captured and stored including the model and colour.
When a predefined vehicle is spotted, the camera will automatically track its movements and send out an alert.
Face Detection
The DS-2DF8C442IXS-AELW uses intelligent algorithms to capture up to 30 faces at once and store the information.
Once a predefined face is recognised, the camera automatically tracks their movements and send out an alert.
This can be used in a large variety of scenarios including spotting and tracking people who have previously committed crimes or who are not authorised to be in the area.
