PRODUCT DETAILS
The HiLook THC-T259-MS is a high resolution 5 megapixel 3K Turret camera that features 24/7 night-time images thanks to ColorVu technology and a built-in microphone that supplies real time audio along the coax cable and does not require a separate audio cable. The THC-T259-MS has universal BNC video and DC power connectors and can be switched between several analogue video formats including TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS allowing it to be used on most modern CCTV recorders. The compact metal body has an IP67 rating to protect the camera from dust and water ingress.
Available with a 2.8mm or 3.6mm fixed lens.
Please note. The 3K format has a wider 16:9 aspect ratio so your recorder may require a firmware upgrade in order to be compatible with these cameras. Please contact us before ordering if you need any advice regarding this.
24/7 Colour Imaging with ColorVu
Colorvu is the name for Hikvision's ultra-low light technology. ColorVu technology is designed to deliver clear colour images in scenes with almost no light without relying on infrared. ColorVu works by combining large image sensors with advanced image processing which in independent tests has proven to deliver the best images in scenes with very little light.
ColorVu cameras often feature a built-in white light that can provide illumination in complete darkness which allows ColorVu cameras to deliver full colour images 24 hours a day regardless of the lighting condition.
Having colour images helps with subject identification, number plates capture and provides accurate context which is lost on conventional cameras.

How does the image quality of a Hilook 5mp Colorvu camera compare to that of a Hikvision 5mp Colorvu camera?
The sensor in the HiLook cameras is equivalent to the Hikvision value series which offers very good image quality. Hikvision pro series cameras have slightly better sensors which might deliver slightly better images in low light scenes although feedback from customers suggests the difference is very minimal.
