The Ajax EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) (8EU) ASP is a wireless addressable fire detector designed to deliver professional-grade fire protection for commercial, public, and large residential environments. Combining both smoke and heat detection in a single device, it provides fast, accurate identification of developing fire threats while meeting stringent EN54 certification standards for professional fire alarm systems. 

Engineered with Ajax’s patented dual-spectrum optical smoke sensor and two high-precision thermistors, the detector can accurately identify smoke particles while intelligently distinguishing real fire conditions from steam, dust, and common false alarm sources. The integrated HazeFlow 2 algorithm further enhances detection reliability, ensuring rapid response without unnecessary activations. 

The heat detection system supports multiple selectable operating modes, allowing installers to tailor sensitivity and temperature thresholds to suit the environment and application requirements. 

Using Ajax’s secure Jeweller wireless communication technology, the FireProtect detector offers encrypted long-range communication of up to 1,700 metres in open space, ensuring reliable operation across large premises without the need for extensive wiring.
