I have a TV in our living room that I want to connect to a number of sources (PS4 and BT TV) in another room and control over a single CAT6 cable. Is this possible?

Yes, you would need a HDMI switch and a HDMI over Cat 6 extender.

You can get an automatic switch that detects which device is active or a switch with a manual button to select the source.

You would connect the HDMI extender to the output of the HDMI switch to extend whichever signal is being output.
