Veracity CAMSWITCH 4 PLUS VCS-4P1 Compact 802.3AT PoE 10/100 switch

The Veracity CAMSWITCH 4 PLUS s is a 5-port 10/100 switch including four POE outputs, and one port for non-POE downlink and optional POE input. CAMSWITCH is compact and rugged, and requires no user configuration. Ethernet speed and cable type (straight-through or cross-over) are detected and negotiated automatically. Up to 30W per POE port is delivered to compliant devices, within the limits of the total POE power budget available. The total POE power available depends on the power source (see table opposite for details and examples). CAMSWITCH can also be used to connect other non-POE network devices and will automatically not enable POE to such equipment.

Versatile power input for maximum POE output

CAMSWITCH may be powered by a range of power sources including POE switches, POE injectors or directly via a 48V-57V DC power supply. These power sources support a range of power budgets to suit different applications. Veracity’s class-leading POE power systems deliver the maximum power efficiency and reliability available within the POE power standards.

Using CAMSWITCH for range extension

When powered by POE, CAMSWITCH can be used as a range extender, with up to 100m to the switch and 100m from each switch port to each device. Used in this way, CAMSWITCH 4 Plus is effectively a 4-port OUTREACH Max network range extender (see the OUTREACH datasheets on the website for more detail). Veracity’s OUTREACH POE injectors or dedicated 57V PSUs are recommended for maximum POE output and range, although a regular POE switch may be used for low POE power requirements or for data-only connections.
