No, unfortunately that wouldn't be possible. You should look at range extenders or mesh Wi-Fi systems to improve your Wi-Fi.

This adapter can be used to send a phone signal over existing Ethernet cables. It is not suitable to send network data over telephone cables.

No, if your Internet set-up requires a modem this cannot be bypassed. This adapter simply allows you to use network cables to send phone signals.

I have a spare ethernet cable with RJ45 terminations running into an outbuilding, would this adapter be suitable to extend my BT telephone line into the outbuilding using the ethernet cable?
One end of my cable is next to the master telephone socket and is terminated with an RJ45 connector the other end is not yet terminated. This is just for the voice line; the internet data is using a separate cabling system.

Powerline adaptors are only able to transmit standard ethernet data connections and this would not include analogue telephone signals.
