Akuvox R20A-2 2 Wire SIP 2MP Intercom On Wall Surface Mount

The Akuvox R20A is a surface mounted, 2-wire video intercom system that is designed to fit in narrow spaces. The stylish palm sized unit features a wide angle 2MP CMOS camera, a proximity card reader, and a call button, all housed in a 145 x 85 x 27.5mm brushed metal case. It is supplied with a flush mounting kit that is comprised of a back box and surround.

2-wire video intercom systems remain demanded as long as there are so many houses left with old wiring in the walls, which is indeed problematic to replace. Akuvox came up with a solution to address the issue to allow you to get the benefits of IP network- type system, but with old wiring and with no replacements done

The in-built microphone supplies crystal clear audio with echo cancellation, voice activation detection, and comfort noise generator. The R20A caters to the on-the-go lifestyle of modern living by offering users cardless and touchless smartphone-based access via NFC, which is a safer and more convenient option over conventional methods. 

Cloud access and subscription

Akuvox products can be used with or without cloud access and storage. The Akuvox cloud can be accessed through the SmartPlus smartphone app and will allow you to receive video calls, operate relays, generate temporary QR access codes, view visit history, trigger photo taking, etc.

When a video intercom and a screen is bought at the same time, Akuvox will offer you free cloud access for life (although this version does not include the possibility of making calls on fixed lines).

If you do not require a screen, Akuvox offer cloud license on a yearly or lifetime basis. These licenses are valid for one residence/family, up to a total of 4 cloud users. Beyond 4 users, a subscription of 2 CHF per month will be required per additional user (for the 5th, 6th etc.).
