The Pyronix DOORBELL/CAM is a smart HD video doorbell that allows you to receive real-time alerts from the front door and stay connected to home; never missing a visitor or delivery again. With the DoorbellCam’s inbuilt mic and speaker, welcoming visitors and directing deliveries has never been easier, whether home or away. 

The battery-powered doorbell camera comes with Full-HD video, 130-degree wide-angle view, motion detection, real-time notifications and push to talk function. With these helpful features, users are able to see exactly what’s happening on the doorstep and can answer the door, even when they’re not there.

There’s no need to regularly charge the DoorbellCam with its large 6700 mAh battery. It can last up to six months on standby and between two and three months with wake up 10 times a day. Low battery notifications can be set to preference and the battery can be recharged using the included cable.

Can this work with an existing mechanical chime?

This doorbell does not support other mechanical chimes. Pyronix offer a wireless chime for this function.

Pyronix doesn't have a wedge available for this doorbell at the moment. You can purchase universal smart doorbell wedges from eBay.

The Pyronix doorbell can be battery powered (built-in battery) making it ideal for DIY installation. The doorbell comes with a mounting plate that attaches to the wall or door frame first, then the doorbell attaches to the back-plate and is held in place by a retaining screw.

Apart from an add on SD card, can the unit upload its footage to a cloud-based storage site? Are there other storage options?

The Pyronix doorbell currently only supports storage using an SD card and there are no other storage options available.

The Pyronix Doorbell only works on the Pyronix Home Control 2.0 App. Pro-control will be phased out and replaced by Home Control in the near future.

Our tech support guys have been unable to get the Pyronix doorbell working with a Hikvision NVR so you will need to use a MicroSD card for recording.

ONVIF compatibility isn't advertised for this model as Hikvision (Pyronix's parent company) are no longer ONVIF members. Many existing Hikvision and Pyronix models, however, still work with ONVIF but without specifically testing this we cannot guarantee compatibility.
