PRODUCT DETAILS
The Hikvision IDS-2CD7A86G0-IZHS is an 8 Megapixel, 4K camera from their Deepinview range, with a varifocal lens option of 2.8 - 12 mm and a 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS chip. The DarkFighter technology offers amazing picture quality even in extreme low light conditions and retains the colour image for longer than conventional cameras, before reverting to the black and white IR mode. The intelligent deep learning functions include facial recognition and Multi-Target-Type detection. The metal case is rated IP 67 against dust and water ingress, and H.265+ compression software uses less bandwidth and storage space than conventional cameras.
Deep Learning Technology
The intelligent deep learning technology on Hikvisions range of DeepInView cameras offer a host of useful features to improve accuracy and offer greater control in both live feeds and playback. These include:
Facial Detection and Recognition
Facial detection software can be used to sound an alert when the camera spots a face that has previously been stored in its database. This is handy for a variety of applications, such as a VIP visiting the building, or sounding an alert for a known shoplifter.
In addition, the latest facial recognition software will allow you to store up to 30,000 faces over 3 libraries, allowing companies to store all of their staff photographs into the system and immediately be alerted to the presence of a customer or an intruder on the premises.
This could also be used in the reception of a 'members only' club to quickly check membership status and notify the management of non-paying guests.
People Counting
Unlike the conventional 'Top Down' method of people counting when using surveillance cameras, the latest deep learning software brings a greater level of accuracy and intelligence by counting each individual face entering the building. The software can then eliminate members of staff and security guards to give a specific count of actual customers. This can also be used to eliminate repeat customers over a set timescale to give you an solid reading of each unique customer.
With Hik-Central software, you can build up daily, weekly and monthly reports based on customer data. When used in conjunction with the DeepInView software, a more accurate report can be generated and actual customers can be tracked, not just an overview of bodies on the premises.
This also allows for a demographic view to be created, such as age, gender and even facial expressions, providing valuable data for marketing research.
Multi-Target Type Detection
Looking back through recordings to try and find a particular person or event can be extremely time consuming and frustrating. The Multi-Target Type Detection features allows for filters to be applied which narrows the search and eliminates any person that doesn't fit the search parameter.
For example, if you are looking for a man with glasses, wearing a red top and carrying a back-pack, the DeepInMind software will drill down on this information and only show you the relevant options. If there are still too many subjects to choose from, you can drill down even further, for example, if he was carrying something.
Not only is this a powerful tool to reduce man hours spent reviewing footage, but could prove valuable in identifying a suspect after a crime has been committed.
Hard Hat Detection
On construction sites or other dangerous areas, safety can be ensured by enforcing a requirement that all staff and visitors wear a hard hat at all times. If this procedure is not followed properly, accidents can happen which may result in serious injury or even death.
To ensure the safety of every person onsite, the DeepInMind software can detect whether a person is wearing a hard had or not and instantly trigger an alarm. This creates an event on the playback which can be easily accessed via the recorder.
The alarm and playback event will also be triggered if a person removes their hard hat and does not put it back on again.
Perimeter Detection
The DeepInMind range of cameras provide up to 90% accuracy when detecting a human form in a pre-defined area. This is particularly useful in areas such as a school where AcuSense wouldn't be required but certain areas still need to be monitored.
Once a person is detected in the pre-defined area, an alarm can be raised and an event is logged in the playback.
The intelligent software can differentiate between a human and other non-event movements, such as animals or branches blowing in the wind. This greatly reduces the number of false alarms and events are much easier to find on playback.
Queue Detection
Any business with a large customer base can suffer from, and lose business to, long queues or extended waiting times. To help manage these issues, the DeepInMind software can monitor queuing areas and sound an alarm if it gets too busy, or if customers are experiencing a longer-than-usual time to be served.
The camera can be set to monitor 3 separate zones simultaneously and raise an alarm if any of the queues become longer than the maximum number set to be permitted. For example, if a shop has 3 tils and the maximum permitted queue length is 5 people, the moment 6 people are queuing at one of the tils, the camera will raise an alert and inform the user which zone needs attention.
The face detection will also monitor anybody waiting in the area and sound an alert if they have been waiting longer than a pre-determined time.
This information can then be used to create a graph showing the busiest times, which enables managers to plan work rotas and ensure there is enough staff coverage when needed.
Darkfighter Low Light Imaging
In addition to the deep learning functions, the Hikvision IDS-2CD7A86G0-IZHS also features Darkfighter Low Light technology. This allows the camera to stay in colour mode for longer in low light conditions. When small details matter, such as the colour of an intruder's clothes, Darkfighter allows for more detailed surveillance for longer periods. DarkFighter can be used in a wide range of security scenarios, such as streets, railways, ports, squares, waterfronts, parks and forests, and anywhere colorful, high-definition images are needed around the clock.
DORI - Recommended operational range of the camera
DORI is a standardized system that provides a clear framework for evaluating the effectiveness of CCTV cameras. It is based on the European standard EN 62676-4, which defines specific criteria for detecting, observing, recognizing, and identifying objects or individuals within a camera's field of view.
