The Pyronix KX10DP is a pet immune wired PIR motion detector with a 10-meter detection range. The KX10DP’s intelligent Pet Immune technology differentiates between your pets and intruders with pet immunity for even larger pets (up to 24kg - approximately the size of a Labrador).

The KX10DP features sealed optics to shield the pyro-electric sensor from insects and air movement, and Blue Wave technology further enhances the detector’s immunity to infra-red noise in the environment.

Supplied with both wall & ceiling mount brackets which provides access for up to two 8 core cables (Tamper kit optional).

Will the sensor work with an old wired Micromark alarm system

The PIR needs 12V for power and has 2 contacts for the trigger and 2 for the tamper (optional). If your alarm has 2 terminals for each zone and can output 12V power then it should work fine.

I know when I've ordered previously from another company the pir's brackets were not delivered, please can you set my mind straight are they included in the consignment when I complete the order of 4 pirs and hopefully other items when I look what you have in stock.

They are jumper covers for the jumpers on the board that control various settings. The new installation guide explains better what each jumper does.

I’m putting an alarm system in my summer house with this PIR sensor would it be okay with temperature change like winter/summer or would it trigger the alarm

There is a risk that a standard PIR sensor like this could produce alarms when subject to sudden temperature changes. Summer houses, garages and conservatories are known to be the worst for causing these false alarms. We would recommend using a Dual Tech detector for this. The KX15DT would be our recommendation.

Exactly how does the two sensitivity settings work? It is not clear from the installation pamphlet. My KX10DP detects a miniature Dachshund. How do I decrease sensitivity?

The sensitivity jumper allows you to reduce the overall detection sensitivity and speed which should help in this situation. most importantly you need to ensure that the detector is mounted at the correct height which should be around 2.1m. You also need to ensure that the detector is not pointing towards stairs etc as you will find that animals of all sizes can potentially trigger detectors if they are at a raised elevation.
