The Pyronix KX10DP-WE is a pet immune wireless motion sensor with a 10 metre coverage range that is ideal large area coverage for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and more. 

The KX10DP-WE consists of a PIR, which works by constantly monitoring the infrared energy levels around a room. The detector will recognise any changes caused by the entry of an intruder and inform the panel to go into an alarm condition.

Does this PIR come with a battery or do I need to order one separately?

Hi I purchased the enforcer kit 3 last week and fitted it over the weekend all good except pir even on the least sensitive setting are causing the alarm to trigger when the dog moves around the house, dog is 17kg and pir is up to 20kg immune any ideas what to do.

This could be caused if the PIR is mounted too low. Ideally the PIRs should be mounted between 2.0 - 2.4m. Any lower will reduce the effectiveness of the pet filter and creep zones. Failing this, please contact our technical support team who may be able to offer additional advice.

Do all Pyronix KX motion sensors come with a wall and ceiling mounting bracket or do these need to be ordered separately? Can these sensors be screwed directly into the corner of a room without using a mounting bracket?

The wired sensors include the wall and ceiling brackets. The wireless ones do not include brackets. All PIR sensors can be mounted without brackets however onto a flat wall or into a corner at 45° by fixing directly through the back of the PIR.

These units are wireless-only. The wired equivalent would be the KX10DP rather than KX10DP-WE.

Hi How good is the Pyronix KX10DP-WE pet immune wireless motion sensor, we have a cat (7kg) that climbs on top of the settee in the lounge also would he be detected by the hall PIR if he went up the stairs to the first floor landing also would you recommend putting a PIR or a door sensor in a shed and summer house

The Pyronix range of pet immune detectors preform very well when installed correctly. It is critical that they are mounted at the correct height to ensure accurate detection. Like all pet immune detectors, they can sometimes detect larger pets when climbing on furniture as they will move into the detection zone for humans. You will also find the same issues with detectors facing stairs. We would always recommend positioning detectors pointing away from stairways.

Can wired PIRs be used on this system an mix with wireless door magnets ?
How long do the batteries last whilst in use on the wireless PIRs and door magnets?

The Enforcer wireless panel has 2 wired inputs and supports the ZEM-8 if you want more wired inputs. Batteries in wireless Pyronix devices last between 2 and 3 years depending on use.

This is not a CCTV camera. The KX10DP-WE is a wireless motion sensor for the Pyronix intruder alarm range
