Suitable for those looking for a IP66 rated heavy duty professional two-way radio to work with their existing Mitex General or Mitex Pro units or to those looking to upgrade from PMR446. The 'General Xtreme' provides extremely robust, simple to use but powerful communication to business and consumers alike and is now widely used in applications such as hiking, cycling, motorsport, industry, schools, shops and warehouses.
The IP66 Rated Mitex General Xtreme is our flagship General Analogue model designed with versatility and ease of use in harsher environments in mind. With a full 5-watt power output on UHF, the GeneralXtreme is a powerful, extremely durable and yet relatively compact radio that delivers clear and reliable communications in demanding conditions.
The Mitex GeneralX is supplied pre-programmed to our normal General channels and is ready to use straight from the box, with no set up required and minimal user training. The GeneralXtreme talks to all channels on our normal General units and Channels 13, 14 and 15 are common across all Mitex UHF hand portables including the General, Security, Site HD, PRO & DMR UHF and can also be used with the Mitex Mobi mobile radio; maximising usability across the Mitex range. Channel 16 offers a scan function.
As the name suggests, the General Xtreme’s applications are endless, providing a simple to use, heavy duty communications solution for consumers and business alike. The General is now widely used for activities such as hiking, cycling & Motorsport as well as being an effective tool in schools, shops and warehouse applications.
The Mitex GeneralX is also a perfect step up for the PMR446 user that has a more robust, powerful and private need than license free radios can provide. The General Xtreme will talk to the standard General on all channels straight from the box and is covered under the same licence so is ideal as a step up to a more durable and robust IP66 Rated unit it to use with existing Generals.
Existing Mitex Headsets and Antennas can also be used with the General Xtreme and a new Six Way Charger is available.
