PRODUCT DETAILS
The D-TECT X range of long range outdoor PIR detectors from GJD provide a reliable way to install a network of motion detectors without the hassle of installing alarm and power cables to each location. Up to 16 battery powered D-TECT X detectors can be linked to a receiver up to 500m away which has a physical output for each channel that can be used to trigger lighting, an alarm, a CCTV camera or any other system with inputs.
By using unique channels multiple receivers can be used on a single site to provide comprehensive perimeter protection.
The D-TECT X range of detectors is fully BS8418 compliant and is IP65 rated for continuous outdoor use in all weathers.
There are 3 versions of the D-TECT X MkIII detectors available which offer different detection areas
- GJD430 D-TECT X MKIII 30m x 30m
- GJD440 D-TECT X MKIII 40m x 4m & 40m x 8m (supplied with 2 lenses)
- GJD450 D-TECT X MKIII 50m x 10m
The image below illustrates some examples of how a D-TECT X detection system can be used to trigger multiple devices. PIR 1 is used to turn a PTZ to a preset viewpoint, PIR 2 is used to switch on LED floodlighting and PIR 3 is used to trigger an alarm system. All 3 PIR's in the example are connected to a single wireless receiver that is hard wired to the separate control points for the CCTV, lighting and alarm systems.
On a larger scale the D-TECT X wireless PIR detection system can be used for comprehensive perimeter protection or on a large site where multiple buildings are located.
